The Golden Knot Yacht
It is hard to reduce the experience of photographing this young woman, a person I have know since she was a child . It is hard because my heart was so full, and I felt so honored to be at this momentous chapter in Leah's life. But it was easy because she and her beautiful husband are the nicest people I could ever hope to photograph.
The wedding was held on the Golden Knot Yacht, and departed from a pier in Hoboken. Originally the Yacht was a small boat, however, two weeks earlier that boat out for repair. After leaving port the Maid of honor realized the case of champagne was left on the pier. The Yacht actually turned around and made it's way back to retrieve the bubbly
What is a wedding without a champagne toast, after all?
Leah was absolutely stunning in a lace gown and Christian wore his officer Navy Whites. I am truly a sucker for a guy in a uniform, especially a Navy uniform. And Christian did not disappoint.Man oh man. so handsome.
About Leah and Christian
Leah is Beautiful, a fiery red head, Passionate,Sweet, kind, funny, strong, and determined. She is driven and principled. Christian is smart, brave, kind, very handsome and tender. I adored getting to know him a tiny bit.And I am so excited to work on the album for this amazing couple.
Ok back to the trip. We departed , the ship headed into the Harbor, then turned into the East river. We passed under the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge and Turned around by the Williamsburg bridge. The City turned into a necklace of lights, jewels in a gorgeous balmy evening. The air was sweet and the sky turned from vivd blue to pink to indigo. As we dropped anchor at Lady Liberty the party had reached a high note, everyone was dancing and the joy was completely contagious
Congratulations my friend. I adore you both.
